Proverbs 12:6-10

The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,
but the mouth of the upright delivers them.
The wicked are overthrown and are no more,
but the house of the righteous will stand.
A man is commended according to his good sense,
but one of twisted mind is despised.
Better to be lowly and have a servant
than to play the great man and lack bread.
10 Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast,
but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

One response to “Proverbs 12:6-10

  1. So many of the Proverbs revolve around looking out for self, or looking out for others. Prioritizing my own interests, or serving others. This is so true and reinforces that sin has its genesis in selfishness. I battle my selfishness every day and the battles are long. I can win one battle and give up my free time to help one of my kids, but when the next one asks for help, I am ready to tell them know. God know the battle of my heart and He will sustain me and equip me, but He will also allow me to be tested and to see if I will rely on Him to overcome.
