Ephesians 3:1-6

For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. This mystery is[a] that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

One response to “Ephesians 3:1-6

  1. The Jews operated with strict laws of separation and with general disdain for those not Jews, for thousands of years. All the while, they were destined to be brothers, one in Christ, with those they disdained.

There was a mystery of purpose that was not revealed until Christ came and turned their laws upside down. No wonder they were slow to accept and had such a hard time.

I can operate in my own selfish kingdom and react just as badly to truth. God’s will is no longer mystery to me, although some times His plans are. I have to shake off my own understanding and find His way and plan in His word and by His Spirit. I have to accept and conform to His kingdom and let Him guide my ways.
