Acts 14:8-11

In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.

11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!”

One response to “Acts 14:8-11

  1. The local crowd knew this man and knew that he had been lame since birth. They saw him jump up and walk at the words of Paul and new that this was of God. They did not know the true God and related the experience to the gods that they knew. God uses us to reveal the true God to those who don’t know Him.

Paul saw the faith of the man and used this in deciding to extend God’s power to heal the man.
