James 4:11-12

11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister[d] or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

  1. Who am I to judge? Good question. I certainly have not achieved this position from my own actions. And I haven’t been appointed to this job. When I judge, it is through pride and error. God’s word is truth, and speaks for itself. God may use me to share His word, and His truth, but He does not me to add interpretation or judgement. I am to love and exhort my brothers, and lift them up. Not condemn them or try to build myself through their faults.
