Proverbs 11:6-10

The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
    but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.

Hopes placed in mortals die with them;
    all the promise of[a] their power comes to nothing.

The righteous person is rescued from trouble,
    and it falls on the wicked instead.

With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
    but through knowledge the righteous escape.

10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices;
    when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

  1. There are ripple blessings from the righteous. I experience these through my parents and in-laws and I can showed these, through God’s mercy, on my kids. Having knowledge of the wicked and the paths of selfishness that they will pursue can deliver us from their words and schemes.

    God’s mercy preserves us and delivers us, and we are blessed along the way.
