2 Timothy 4:17-18

17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

  1. Safely to his kingdom. Not necessarily safely through life, or without peril and distress in life. But safely to the kingdom. The danger is being led away from the kingdom and ensnared by the deceiver. Not danger or strife in this life. He says that we will suffer in this life, and we should take joy when our suffering is because of His way and plan. Greater is He who is in us than the struggles we will face along the way.
