5 “We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. [7] [a] 8 By examining him yourself you will be able to learn the truth about all these charges we are bringing against him.”

One response to “Acts 24:5-8

  1. There accusations were not without truth. He did bring a message that changed the world and challenged the system, this caused division and riot. And he did speak of one who did say He would destroy the temple and rebuild it. THey sought to use His words and actions against Paul with the peacekeepers hoping the Romans would silence the new message in the hope of controlling the masses.

The priests did not want truth or for people to be changed, they wanted power and normalcy. We trade truth and growth in our own lives for security, normalcy, and the feeling of power that we are in control.
