Acts 14:12-13

12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker. 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them.

  1. These people believed in gods, deity, power, and worship. They were just deceived into looking among men. They did not have a revelation of who God was, but they knew to look for Him. We have a hole in us for our Saviour and we long for our creator. It is God’s mercy and his Spirit who open our eyes.
