Acts 5:12-16

12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.

One response to “Acts 5:12-16

  1. There is such hope in Christ’s forgiveness and redemption. In cell group last night we studied Peter’s denials in John. Now, in the face of death and imprisonment, he is the face and the voice of Christianity and God’s power in him is such that his very shadow heals the sick as he travels. What a difference between the man who had to ashamedly look at Christ while the bitter taste of his fear and denials was still fresh on his tongue.

This has nothing to do with Peter, but with Christ’s plan and His power to transform. No matter my sin and my selfishness, Christ is willing and able to change me into His image and to use me for His kingdom.
