If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 Jesus is

  1. He was not filled with the Spirit just to speak, he lived filled by the Spirit, was able to heal because of the power of the Spirit, and now spoke because he was full of the Spirit. He brings to light that they are asking him to justify his act of kindness and mercy and then gives all the credit to Christ. He acknowledges Christ’s Deity as the Son of God and reminds them that they rejected this Christ in their established religion and that Christ has now become the cornerstone of the movement that is changing the world.
