Luke 20:20-22

20 Keeping a close watch on him, they sent spies, who pretended to be sincere. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said, so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the governor. 21 So the spies questioned him: “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. 22 Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”

One response to “Luke 20:20-22

  1. They did not know that they were working for Satan, but they were working for their own power and to silence the truth. When you find yourself opposite of God’s plan and purpose, you can only be working for one kingdom. Our kingdom of selfishness and desire for power is not part of the kingdom of God. The Bible is very clear about their only being two masters in this world and we either find ourselves working for God’s kingdom or opposing it.
