Luke 8:40-42

40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.    As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.

One response to “Luke 8:40-42

  1. You can feel the celebrity like appeal that Christ had. He was a God walking among them. Overpowering nature, healing people, and exhibiting control over evil. People flocked to Him and took away all of His personal time and quiet moments. Yet He heard their pleas and answered their cries. He returns from the healing of the possessed man and moves into healing the sick child. These people had faith cause they got to see His works. We can read what He preserved for us and we can experience His mercy in our own lives. He expects great faith from us because He has revealed so much to us.
