Luke 8:38-39

38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

One response to “Luke 8:38-39

  1. This is an example of where we have to leave our motives and desires, even when Godly, behind so that His will can prevail. This man had been changed and his life had been restored. He wanted to sit at Christ’s feet and be with Him and he was probably frightened that the evil would return. Yet Jesus needed his changed life to be a witness for Him and to shine His truth. He was a force multiplier for the Kingdom and he obeyed as a response of his love for Christ.
