Luke 4:28-32

28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way. 31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. 32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority.

One response to “Luke 4:28-32

  1. Prophets speak truth. They deliver the message of God’s truth and their words are not always accepted. These people were following Him and expecting blessings from His power. When He gave these examples they were angry because they saw that they may not personally benefit. They tried to kill Him, yest He just walked away from their attempt.

At the next town, they were impressed with His words and not His actions. God can show His dominion and authority in many ways. We just need to be willing to be used and He will shine through us.
