Matthew 27:24-26

24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

25 All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

One response to “Matthew 27:24-26

  1. A bloodthirsty and irrational crowd. How many of these people received a revelation that He was the Messiah and looked back on their actions that led Him to the cross?

I am no different. If it weren’t for my many sins, He would have never needed to come to earth to be crucified.

I have no room to point fingers or to say that I would have acted any differently. I am a sinner, saved by His grace.
