Matthew 14:32-35

32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

34When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

One response to “Matthew 14:32-35

  1. The theme of this passage is His power. He calmed seas with His presence and healed the sick when they touched His garment. His power is not less capable today and no less available. They received by faith with sight, and we have to receive by faith with His recorded promises.

Sometimes He calmed the seas with His words and here with His presence. Sometimes He healed the sick with mud or words, and sometimes by walking by them. He chose situations to teach and to grow people’s belief and faith. We have to see His presence in our lives and learn from the situations He is teaching us with.
