Acts 5:15-16

15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil[a] spirits, and all of them were healed.

  1. Merry Christmas everyone.

Their testimony was so strong, and the power of God was so heavy upon them, that people sought even the shadow of Peter. Do people come to me looking for God’s power? Is my testimony so strong that people go out of their way to hunt me down and then expect God to work through me?

We should be outposts of God’s glory and our reputation should be of His power.

  2. Rick – you make a very excellent point and a very unique perspective –

I think about Peter in this – I wonder if Peter keeps in the forefront of his mind the time he told Christ I wont reject you and Christ says you will 3 times and than does reject Christ – reason I mention this is people are following Peter and his shadow is healing those around him – he has to be very careful not to get arrogant/prideful and maybe by keeping his past humbling experiences in the front of his mind, keeps him from elevating himself a lil too much and ensure that Christ receives the glory and honor from what is taking place!!!
