Mark 6:30-32

Chapter Blog – Deuteronomy

30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” 32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

  1. ministers definitely need some time alone and time away….AMEN TO THAT!!!!

time to eat—i also look at this spiritually—ministers spend so much time feeding that they dont eat themselves…no matter how busy we are, we have to eat–aka get into the Word, study, pray and keep nourished!

  2. That’s understandable Ron, you need your time just like everybody else. I have a habit of forgetting that and always come to you for help before I even try. In these next few months I’m trying to grow enough where I can come to you when I want your help and not when I think I need it. I have 2 years before my time is up in Student Impact and I will make the most of it!

But I wont stray off-topic. Verse 31 speaks alot to me about our prayer and study times. In our lives, we go through so much “hustle and bustle (is that even a word?)” that we never seem to have time for God. But Jesus fixes this instantly when he says “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” If you can’t find a time or place for God, MAKE a time or place for him!
