  1. As believers, its very hard to follow through with what God wants us to do because sometimes we just feel if we do what we want to do, it will be the easy way out. That may be true, but sometimes it takes sacrifice just like God did for us when He died on the cross, we need to sometimes sacrifice what we want for what God wants. We need to be holy, like God is holy.

  2. What a simple command. God says for us to be holy = “without sin and without impurity”, WHY? Because He is Holy.

God does not expect anything more from us than for us to want to be like Him and to act as He does. He takes us at face value when we say that we accept His son and want to be like Him.

  3. If he asks us to do this, the ability to do it is there…We can strive and desire holiness and if we dont desire it and dont strive after it, we will not reach it….

Yesterday we talked about the mind, actions and emotions…these all will be a factor as we pursue holiness….

  4. We cannot be sinless like God, but we can try every day to live a holy life, a life that is set apart for service to God. We can refuse to be controlled by our flesh and to follow the opinions and trends of this world. That is what being holy means to me.
