Joel 3:14-17

Psalm 110

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine. 16 The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. 17 “Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.

  1. I was reading up a little on the Valley of Decision… and it is another term for the Valley of Jehosephat…. it is important because it shows that God will be making his decision about if the nations or individuals are guilty or not… man and nations will not be making decisions at this time.

  2. I love how this passage points to the omnipresence of God. He is blotting out the Heavens, roaring at the nations, judging, and being comfort to the heart of every believer…..all at once. God is able to be everywhere at once and a literal belief of this passage confirms that.

  3. the earth and sky will rumble but his people will have hope— I know this is referring to the judgment and its true, the world will shake and we believers will have hope in heaven…I also think of when we face struggles frustrations and the world around us is just rocking and crazy…we just need to rest and hope in the Lord because He provides the hope in all of circumstances!
