Colossians 1:22-23 Psalm 54

22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation– 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

  1. This is summing up all that Paul has been saying about Christ’s supremacy. All the information we’ve been reading about the past few days is the gospel message that Paul was trying to spread.

  2. studying this out, gotta say a few things sparked the whole cal vs arm debate but didnt go there 😀 love ya and praying for ya Rickster…

The KJV says in vs 23 grounded and settled instead of established and firm…and in studying this out a little, i came across the concept that Paul is referring to the foundation that they stand on and the foundation they stand on is not on their own beliefs, righteousness or is all founded on Christ…

Final thought the gospel that has been proclaimed and preached which Paul became a servant is the same message we hear today. The life changing power that Paul experienced on the road to demascus is the same power that can revolutionize our lives, our families, student ministry and community if we would only allow it…

    Love ya guys

  3. We are only free from blemish and accusation when the physical body of Christ was broken and killed to complete our salvation.

Satan did not realize his mistake when he killed Christ. He had no idea he was sealing his own fate and reconciling man to his creator by providing us a way to bridge the gap back to God.
