Colossians 1:19-21 Psalm 53

19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.

  1. So I went on and looked up verse 19 and I found that the fulness that is talked about is the Godhead or the Trinity. God was pleased that the Trinity was dwelling in Him.
verse 20 I found that Christ was crucified to reconcile all of Gods chosen people to God. And says that is why Christ should be considered the head of the church.

And I like the last verse because it says how we were once seperated from God because of our evil behavior, but once we accept Christ we are no longer seperated.

  2. This passage expands on who Christ is, and why he is above all. This passage really shows the truth that Christ is fully God, not part man and part God, he is fully God and fully man. It is because of Christ’s death and resurrection that we can be in peace with God through the forgiveness of sins.

  3. excellent job ally…taking the time to go to crosswalk and look up something that you didnt know shows heart and hunger and thats the whole purpose of the blog, not to flex your spiritual muscles but to grow and go

Humanity and everything in the world are brought into unity and harmony under cross (go back to vs 16-18). However this does not mean it just happens, there has to be a conscience decision on our parts, whether its through our free will or God’s perfect plan (like how I through that in there whitie) to accept the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

Vs 21—the world alienated means to be shout out from one’s fellowship and intimacy—

we were cut off in our fellowship and intimacty with God because of the thoughts of our minds…our heart and mind were set on the things of the flesh, what we desire and want…the reason paul is saying the mind, because that is where the sin takes place first…thats why we have to renovate, rejeuvenate and renew our minds…so we dont pursue those things that dont line up with God and cause us to be alienated…

    Love you guys
