Romans 6:19-23

19 I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

  1. Those who believe in Jesus and gave their life to the Lord, when they sin, and repent, with a meaningful heart, God sees that and makes them righteous again. To ME, I think that to be a true follower of Christ, when you do something wrong, and you repent, you do it full heartedly because you went against God and His word. Those who dont believe, or even those who believe but dont care, when they commit sin, they wont repent because they dont care, or they will repent for their safety. Well, they think its their safe but when God knows what is truely felt in the heart, he isnt going to let them get by living an “easy” life. He is going to show us the right way because he cares and he wants the best for us but he isnt going to force those who dont care.

  2. I put this in human terms—This strikes me because of the fact that these believers have yet not renewed their minds and began to look at things through their spiritual minds and eyes…The whole problem Paul is dealing with could be summoned up with this statement…if they would look their things with the spiritual mindset instead of the earthly human mind set, they would recognize that the choice to sin is not there any longer because of the life they are living for Christ…yes they have the choice to sin, but the desire and willingness does not exist.
