Romans 2:8-11

www.gypr.wordpress.com Daniel 11

8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

  1. I think these verses mean if you are doing things for yourself…what you want to do…not doing what glorifies God you will (we will) feel His wrath

doing things that are sinful ( which pretty much means anything that does not glorify God is a sin….anything that takes away from God or anything that keeps you (us) away from God is a sin)

  2. in verse 8 it pretty much explains the consequences for the evil-doer.
But in verse 9 and 10 it says there will be trouble for the Jews first and then the Gentiles and the same thing if they did good.
So I went to crosswalk.com and looked up why its the Jews first and then the Gentiles
and this is what I got….
It said that God judged things according to the people’s true moral character…and the Gentile who fulfilled the law was better than a Jew who broke that law…so I guess thats why a Jew came first.

  3. Those who dont wanna follow after Christ and want to do their own thing, their own way, is an example of stubborness. But if we do things are way, and not God’s way, then whats the point in living? We arent gonna be happy. We may feel a sense of happiness but if we act diffrently on what God says, then we are just going to face the consiquences when it comes around and its just gonna slap us in the face. If we act in a godly way, and follow Christ and try to go on the path he wants us to be on, then he is going to bless us. Why would he bless us when we arent blessing him, the Creater, the Father of everything. If we follow God he will put love, kindness, and happiness in our hearts but if we dont follow God our lives will be filled with evil, wrath, anger, and even worse, going against the truth.

  4. This description goes hand in hand. Those that reject truth and follow evil do so because they are self-seeking. This is another way of saying they are lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Think about whether that describes you or not. Do you enjoy eating, gaming, using computers, watching TV and hanging out more than you do learning about discipleship and blogging. Does your relationship with Christ ever bring smiles to your face and make you feel great?

  5. pretty simple but blunt promises…We have a tendency to think of sugarcoated, plastic, soft Christianity and faith—the truth of the matter is, our faith is one that was found on breaking the normal mold, going against the flow, living loud and proud…not a passive, quiet, dont stand out faith…So if the faith is outgoing, strong bold and outrageous than the life that we live according to the faith should be the same and here we see the point blank straight up truth of our faith.
