Romans 2:5-7 Daniel 10

5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will give to each person according to what he has done.” 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

  1. stubborness….woot woot..I feel like a big bright light is shining on me! I find it so comforting that God has a way of getting to me just how and when I need it.

These verses continue to warn us against our actions, or maybe lack of action… I have heard Ronnie say “christian is a verb”

  2. OUCH…don’t know what to say right now…just reading these verses again. this is me all the way, stubborn and strongwilled, but God can do anything, including breaking a hard heart

  3. Most likely what these verses say to me is that what ever you do echoes on life for eternity. God will remind you of it to and he will also remind you what you have done right to.

  4. WOW…harsh,but VERY TRUE.
So people who are being stubborn, who store up all their wordly things(junk)inside of them will get what they deserve when Jesus comes back.
They will be punished and will be left.
But people who are committed to Christ who will live for Him are promised to eternal life.

  5. Stubbornness and unrepentance are not something that God takes lightly. I am reminded of the verses later in this book (Rom 6) where Paul reminds us not to continue in sin, thinking that we will always be forgiven and it will all be ok. “1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”
We must turn away from those things that we know are sin and try everyday to be more like Christ. Just like everything we’ve been learning in our discipleship study, this is the only REAL way to grow and show we love Him.

  6. I can honestly say that it blesses my heart when I see teenagers post and they are honest about the scriptures they are reading and taking ownership for their boo-boos…

vs 7—those who are persistant in DOING good God will reward…God isnt going to reward those that are persistant in their belief…but in their faith, in their ability to DO what they believe…nice follow up scripture to Sundays and Wednesdays sermons…Gotta love God when He is speaking…isnt there a scripture that says a witness of two or three hmmmmmmm 😉

I really believe God is speaking to all of us about getting more involved and more active in our belief in Him…taking what we know to be true and start walking it out and letting it shine so bright…Reminded of the song this lil light of mine…Hide it under a bush OH NO..iM GONNA LET IT SHINE…Lord help me to shine and I recoginze that I can let it shine by doing and walking with you, through you and for you…Amen

  7. I just spent the last 10 hours looking for and chasing down a bank robber. We found him and went into a room and got him and all the evidence. GGRRRR!!!!! I love this job. I know I was created and equipped for this work and I love how God equips those He calls.

I was taught that doing good (obeying God’s plan) takes persistance. Check out this definition from Webster:

“to go on resolutely or stubbornly in spite of opposition, importunity, or warning”

There are not many of us whose walk is described by that phrase. But it definetely lets us know what to shoot for and what are walk needs to be.

  8. this passage is really scary if your on the wrong side of the fence. what is interesting is that some people believe that because they don’t say specifically i’m turning my back on God….that they are in some sort of safe zone. there is no middle ground with God, when you choose not to choose God you choose death. that is what this verse is saying about unrepentant heart…when you know the truth when you have had a one on one experience with God and still you do not choose Him you are storing up your judgement. when you choose Christ and you repent the full load of your burden is taken away by the blood of Christ.

  9. God sees what goes on in our lives, expecially to those who try to be like him and follow after him, even those that dont believe or want to follow him, he still watches.
This was a definate punch in the stomach. Everyone can avoid their stubborn actions and their talk, but some of us just like to feel important and want to feel like that if we get into drama then people will like me. Its not how it works. Forgive me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that stubborness is kind of holding in the truth.
