Mark 8:22-25
22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Gill has fabulous insight on this. He says that the healing of this man is symbolic of what Christ does to a man’s spirit when He saves us.
He takes us by the hand, He leads us away from the world, and He opens our eyes and shows us new life.
In healing this man, Christ took Him away from the town because the people there did not believe His ministry and had hard hearts. Do you wonder why you don’t see God’s hand move? Does He take His miracles away from your hardened heart?

sorry, internet has been down at my house for two reasons – first night my bedroom was emptied and rearranged so the internet was disconnected second night – my lovely neighbor ran over the cable box – gotta love the drunkard
Rick to build off of your questions – maybe we are surround by those with hard hearts and when God tries to lead us away from them, we dont move – this man could have stayed in the town but he went – we gotta 1- be careful who we surround ourselves 2 – when God wants to lead us somewhere, we need to be aware of the direction he wants us to go and we must start moving in that direction!

Part 2:
I see another application for us. It is our job to bring/lead the spiritually blind to Christ. It is God’s ability to show them the light and to open their eyes. We don’t have to save them or forgive their sins, but we do have to make certain to expose them to Christ and to not drive them away by our actions.
