Mark 8:9-14
9 About four thousand men were present. And having sent them away,
10 he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha. 11 The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. 12 He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it.” 13 Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side.

Christ says to taste and see that the Lord is good. He asks us to believe His words and to try them in our lives to see what the goodness of the Lord can do for us. These hypocrites were seeking to test the Lord to disprove Him and expose Him as a fraud. We tend to keep Christ at arm’s length so that we will not have to apply His plans and directions to our lives.
We need to embrace and accept His plan and see how His favor rains on our lives.

so many people want signs and wonders and fireworks and the truth is – everything screams God, points to God and reveals God – the problem is our vision is blurred and our hearing muted – blurred and muted by the things of this world, the selfishness and sinfulness of our nature….
