He is still planning on a winter there with wanting the coat, cuz he has faith in God even thou he could die today. He could be put to death today but yet he is only thinking of doing Gods work, he wants his most important papers and writings, how will he do this being chained up? He has faith only in God, he does not blame the others for not standing by him, but praises God for always being with him. What is God trying to reveal to us, show us, teach us? Only thing I can think of is it reveals Paul's "Soft" side, the humanistic side...We see such a Godly man that we may have a tendency to put him on a pedestal...These personal moments allow us to relate to paul and connect with him on a emotional level.
